De Atramentis inks are lovingly handcrafted in Germany by Dr. Franz-Josef Jansen. Dr Jansen has been producing inks since 1995 after the inheritance of a 17th-century ancestor's Pharmacist's book containing information on the formulation of inks. The ink comes in an attractive 45ml glass bottle.

De Atramentis inks have great performance for everyday use and an ink range full of colours and special properties. 

The Document Ink range is waterproof and permanent. Document Ink Turquoise is also known as Document Ink Cyan and packaging may reflect either name.
